I'm having to abandon my old-fashioned, low-tech tendencies as well as my horror at the spelling of "Flickr."  I learned about Flickr 2 days ago at the Vermont Crafts Council Conference and am beginning to realize that my goal must be to really get smart about Internet marketing. For one thing, I need to  link all these websites I've been toying with - my sadly neglected blog, my hideously addicting Facebook account, and now Flickr and Etsy - into one rollicking uber Internet presence. AND I have to make sure not to get sucked down into the time-wasting rabbit hole of the Internet , but must continue to produce  my very, very low-tech katazome clothing and other items. Right now I'm making  a foray into making katazome squares for quilters on cotton, as I will be a vendor at the Central Vermont Quilt Festival in Barre on May 7 and 8.So, in addition to hyperventilating from spending half an hour uploading photos onto Flckr, I'm starting a batch of steamed rice paste for katazome, and soaking some cotton in soda ash in preparation for dyeing. And the tea kettle's about to boil.

PS - I'm not quite sure yet if anyone but me can GET to my Flicker, I mean "Flickr" photos, but I will try to figure that out.
